Our mission is to help you reach your personal communication goals -- this means helping you participate better and with more confidence in social interactions, daily activities, and life roles, while maximising communication abilities. To achieve this, we focus on developing key skills, harnessing strengths, integrating new strategies, and providing practice in simulated and natural communication contexts.
Every brain injury is different, and can have a different impact on social participation. Using a life participation framework, we draw from best practices and current research evidence to provide treatment tailored to your individual needs and communication contexts. We help you to better understand your communication disorder and how to manage it in everyday situations, in a way that focuses on your strengths and abilities.
We work with you to create an intervention plan based on your personal communication goals. We believe that therapy should be collaborative, fun, and personalised to your needs. This means focusing on topics and activities that are motivating and meaningful to you, to best tap into your neuroplasticity and help you achieve your goals. We actively engage clients as partners throughout the rehab process, and openly discuss progress with you every step of the way. We encourage the participation of significant others, and offer support and training to communication partners.
